Notes  Aaron Bowman, "the fourth son of Elias Bowman, was born August 11th, 1837. He resided in Kent County, Michigan, where he was engaged in farming. He met with an accident in Grand Rapids which caused instant death. This took place September 18th, 1885. He was married twice, first to Barbara Bechtel, with whom he had three children, namely: Austin, Otto, and Colin. After her death he married Hannah, daughter of John Meyer of St. Jacobs. With her he had a family of two children (twins), namely: Nettie and Byron."
