Notes  Simon P. Bowman, "the fourth son of Samuel W. and Annie (Biehn) Bowman, was born in the town of Waterloo, Ontario, July 20th, 1844. His younger days were spent in teaching in our public schools of Waterloo County. After retiring from the teaching profession, he commenced the life of an agent for the various railroads, fire, life and accident insurance companies. Some years ago he moved to Escondido, California, where he is engaged in farming. He is also the possessor of a beautiful olive and orange ranch. He is married to Eliza, daughter of Samuel B. Bowman. Their family consists of three children, namely:..."
