Notes  Abram O. Bowman, "was born October 8th, 1855. In his younger days he chose the mercantile life as his calling. When seventeen years of age he commenced clerking for Messrs H. and C. Boehmer of Berlin (now The Boehmer Co.), in whose services he remained for eight years. In 1889 he went into partnership with Mr. George Giller to start a general store in Berlin. They are still in partnership and doing a well paying business. He was first married to Agnes Babcock and after her decease he married Susannah Detweiler. His family consists of three children, namely: Eva and Marion of the first wife; and Jacob Harold of the second marriage."
