Henry Erb, "the third son of John and Magdalena (Schrantz) Erb, was born about the year 1797. He was married to Polly Babcock. After their marriage they moved on their farm now divided into three farms, namely that of Jacob Z. Kolb, Dilman Kolb, Louis Breithaupt, and some smaller lots. From here they moved to Sheffield, a little below Galt, where he kept a hotel. Here he died. His family consisted of several children, namely:...and others whose names were not received. They all died young save Nancy." |
