Notes  David S. Baumann, "fifth son of Peter Baumann, was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania, January 18th, 1787, and died November 22nd, 1850. He was married to Maria Bechtel, came to Canada in 1812 and settled at the town of Waterloo. See Nos. 458 to 485."

David Baumann, "the fifth son of Peter and Elizabeth (Sprigel) Baumann (See No. 73), was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania, January 18th, 1787. He was married to Maria, daughter of Rev. Joseph and Magdalena (Allebach) Bechtel. She was born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, November 15th, 1789, came to Canada with her parents in 1802. She died at Waterloo, June 6th, 1850. He died November 22, 1850. They had a family of eight children, viz:"
