Notes  John Gingerich, "son of Joseph (Joseph was the youngest son of old Michael and probably 24 years younger than his brother Abraham) Gingerich, was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, March 12th, 1788. He came to Canada with others at an early date and spent a few weeks at Preston with his cousins before he settled on his farm. He was married to Anna, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Histand) Hackman. She was born December 6th, 1788, and died November 21st, 1862. He died November 26th, 1831. They had a family as follows..."
