Notes  John Gingerich, "was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, December 17th, 1785, and came to Canada with his parents in 1801. He was married to Elizabeth, daughter of John Erb of Preston. She was born March 3rd, 1790, and died January 2nd, 1867. They resided a little north of Preston, on the farm now occupied by Peter Fach. They had a family of nine children, viz:"
