Notes  Joseph Martin, "the third son of Daniel and Veronica (Schneider) Martin, was born August 22nd, 1833. On March 11th, 1856, he was married to Susannah, daughter of John and Barbara (Hoffman) Lichty. She was born May 11th, 1832. They reside in Woolwich Township, about a mile south-east of St. Jacobs (on part of lot No. 6, German Company's Tract, Woolwich Township) where he is engaged in farming. They have no family."
