Notes  David Gingerich, "was born near Preston, Ontario, December 13th, 1804. On April 26th, 1826, he was married to Elizabeth Stauffer who was born April 28th, 1811, and died April 14th, 1874. They resided on the farm now in possession of their son, Jacob S. Here he died September 29th, 1879. Their family consisted of seven children, viz:"
