Notes  John S. Shoemaker, "third son of John Shoemaker, was born January 12th, 1803. He was married to Fanny Sailor. In 1825 he came to Canada with John Bingeman whose team he drove. He returned to Pennsylvania the same fall where he resided until his death which took place February 19th, 1828. He left no family and after his death the widow came to Canada and was afterwards married to John Baumann of the town of Waterloo where they resided until their death."
