Notes  Rev. David B. Sherk, "was born November 29th, 1837. When a young man he was converted unto the Lord and has since his conversion been a true follower of His Master. Some thirty years ago he entered the ministry of the United Brethren in Christ for which body he has labored up to the present. Several years ago he was chosen Presiding Elder of the church for the Canadian field of labor. There is scarcely a man in Ontario who has a wider circle of friends and acquaintances, embracing all classes and creeds, than Rev. Mr. Sherk has. As a minister he is well received by all denominations holding the same spiritual views in regard to regeneration as the Brethren do. His preaching is plain, practical and impressive and his method of delivering his sermons is to use the plainest and simplest language so as to make himself understood by all classes of his audience. He is married to Sarah Hershey and resides in the town of Berlin. To them are born three children, viz:"
