George Eshleman, "the eldest son in family of Samuel and Nancy Eshleman, was born February 14th, 1820. He resided about three miles east of Roseville where he was engaged in farming. He was married to Elizabeth, daughter of Jacob and Polly (Hallman) Bechtel. To them were born ten children, viz:"
