Notes  Jacob Witmer, "was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, December 27th, 1801. On September 14th, 1828, he was married to Anna Reist who was born April 24th, 1807, and died March 4th, 1888. After their marriage they moved on his father's old place near Preston where he died April 17th, 1888. To them were born ten children, viz:"
