Notes  Joseph Kinsie, "son of Abraham Kinsie, was born seven miles from Quakertown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, March 4th, 1811. He came to this county when a young man and settled in Waterloo County, Ontario. On October 1st, 1837, he was married to Barbara Devitt who was born December 2nd, 1809, and died August 19th, 1847, leaving a family of seven children. After her decease he was again married to Magdalena Martin, September 4th, 1849. She was born July 6th, 1821. They resided on a farm in Blenheim Township, Oxford County, near the Dumfries town line, about three miles from Ayr, where he died June 28th, 1871. His family consisted of twelve children..."
