Notes  John Histand, "the eldest, was born in Upper Providence, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, February 6th, 1785. He resided in Chester County, Pennsylvania, where he died March 27th, 1880. He was married to Catharine Cassel, May 23rd, 1809. She was born September 17th, 1781, and died April 10th, 1824. After her decease he was married to another Catharine Cassel, July 18th, 1826. She was a cousin to his first wife and was born May 23rd, 1782, and died June 21st, 1868. To him and his first wife were born nine children, viz:"
