Notes  Joseph B. Hagey, "was born October 4th, 1848. He possesses the old 'Bishop Hagey' homestead on the east side of the road leading from Preston to Breslau. He is a good farmer and is highly esteemed by all classes of people. He has been a member of the township council for some time. 'Young Joseph' (or Der jung Josey Hagey) as he is generally called, is married to Rebecca Snyder. They have a family of five children, namely:..."
