Samuel Hammacher, "(No. 3684, Vol. I) was married to Elizabeth Goebel who died at Doon, Waterloo County, Ontario, in May, 1851, and after her decease he was again married to Mary Ann Burns who died at Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1891. Mr Hammacher's family consisted of thirteen children, ten (All of the ten children are living yet. Not many families of ten where they all live together for forty-five years) of whom were born unto his first wife. Their names are as follows:"
