Notes  Anton Reitzel,"the pioneer settler of this family, was a native of Dachsburg, Lorraine, Germany, where he was born March 10th, 1810. In 1831 he emigrated to America and settled in Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada. In September, 1834, he was married to Elizabeth, daughter of Jacob and Salome (Graybill) Erb. She was born July 23rd, 1817. After their marriage they moved to Woolwich Township, on the farm now in possession of their son, Leon, where he died July 30th, 1893. She is still living and resides with her daughter, Magdalena. They had a family of twelve children, viz:"
