Description	A woman's two-piece dress consisting of a bodice of black wool (a fine twill weave) and a skirt of black cotton grosgrain. The bodice is plain: a centre front placket with hooks and eyes to close; two darts in both fronts; long two-piece, set-in sleeves; narrow stand collar; and six-piece back.The bodice is lined with brown cotton twill. The bottom edge is turned to the inside and there are threads along the fold indicating that the bodice was sewn to the skirt. The skirt is cut in seven gores with a centre back placket and pleat. The skirt is lined with brown cotton twill and has a black velvet hem binding. There is a inseam pocket on the right side of the centre front panel. The waistband is brown cotton twill. The pieces are machine sewn and hand finished.
