Description
A pewter locket attached to a heavy, ornate chain which consists of a series of several small metal links. Attached to each link is a tiny metal flower and a solid metal ball, one on either side of the link. The large metal loop that links the locket to the chain has a tiny metal knob which can be pushed to open the loop. The locket is oval in shape and consists of two pieces, the front and the back. The centre of the locket is raised (on the face) and is decorated with a raised rose design. The border of the locket is decorated with raised scroll and geometric designs. On either side of the locket front is five tiny metal knobs. The inside of the front part of the locket is hollow. The second half of the locket consists of a tiny metal frame, which is lined with light green fabric and is covered with a piece of glass. The back side of this half of the locket has three tiny stamps on the surface, which are located on the bottom section.

The locket was given to May Angela Bowman (Thibaudeau) when she was a girl, by her father, Israel D. Bowman.
