Description
An outdoor photographic print mounted on plain card. It is a picture of a large two-storey building with dormers and balustrade. A sign above the door reads: Bowman House/ H. Zimmerman. There is a large group of men and children standing in front and a man with horse and buggy. Some of the people are identified as: Doorway R - R. Stuart; H Zimmerman; P. Sims; IE Bowman; S. Snyder; John Roos front centre; Walter Wells, front, 8th from right; Preston-Berlin-Waterloo Stage Driver, Henry Wolfe (man in buggy). Also written along the bottom of the print is: This picture taken about 1881. A note with the print states: "Bowman House * H. Zimmerman * Proprietor: This picture was taken about 1881 and shows the Preston-Berlin-Waterloo stage in front of the hotel. The driver was Henry Wolfe."
