Description
Indenture of Lease 7249 dated September 13, 1886 between Elias Bauman, Woolwich Township, yeoman, and Elias W.B. Snider, St. Jacobs, miller. The lease covered a dam across the Conestogo River on part of Lots 10 and 40 German Company Tract, and the "right to overflow land alongside mill dam" onto Lot 11, land owned by Elias Bauman. The sum of $25 was paid for perpetual rights, as long as there is a dam. The lease was registered in the Registry Office for the County of Waterloo, in Book F18 for the Township of Woolwich the 21st day of October 1886. Number 7249.
