Description
A jacquard coverlet or bedspread of the tied doublecloth variety with an all-cotton warp and dark blue wool pattern weft. It has a central medallion of an eight-point star surrounded by a larger star ringed by flowers and leaves. The medallion sits in a field of triangles all pointing toward it. At the corners are eagles surmounting shields with stars and stripes. There is a border of grapes, grape leaves and urns with four-petaled flowers at the corners.
