Description	The second home built on Lot 17 German Company Tract, Waterloo County, by Joseph Schneider prior to 1816. A "Form of an Assessment for the Township of Waterloo Block Number two on the Grand River in the Home District in the Province of Upper Canada for the Year of our Lord 1816" notes that Joseph Snyder had a "Framed Brick home of 2 story with not more than 2 fireplace." This document is housed in the Provincial Archives of Ontario in Toronto.
