A black-and-white studio portrait oval cut and mounted on dark grey card with black bevelled edge. Pressed into a corner of the card is the photographer's name and place. Photographer's working dates are 1896-1908. Lizzie (b. 1871), Annie (b. 1872), Ida (b. 1874), Lydia (b. 1877) and Olive (b. 1889). The possible order in the photograph, from left, is: Annie, Ida, Lizzie, Olive, and Lydia. Ezra Eby's A Biographical History of Waterloo County lists the names of the daughters (still living in 1896) as: Lizzie (b. 1871), Annie (b. 1872), Ida (b. 1874), Lydia (b. 1877) and Olive (b. 1889). The possible order in the photograph, from left, is: Annie, Ida, Lizzie, Olive, and Lydia.
