Description	A beautifully handcrafted baby cradle painted brown with hearts cut in the head and footboards. The headboard sides have a scroll pattern cut into the wood. There are six pegs, three on each side, to attach bedding. The bottom of the cradle is dovetail construction with three slats. The two outer slats are nailed in place while the centre one serves as a support notched into the rockers. The rockers are slightly curved on the ends. The bottom of the cradle has applied decorative beaded moulding.
Provenance	The cradle is said to have been handed down through the Jacob (Yoch) Schneider family whose homestead was on the east side of the Grand River, known as the Oxbow, near the village of Bloomingdale, Waterloo County, Ontario.
